On 22 March 2018, VINCI Airports signed a 25-year concession contract covering the financing, operation, maintenance, extension and upgrade of Belgrade Airport. It has secured loans of €420m to complement the equity that VINCI Airports is investing to meet the €501m upfront concession fee as well as the airport extension and upgrade works provided in the contract.
VINCI Airports took over operations of Belgrade Airport on 22nd December 2018, looking to grow Serbia’s main airport into a major hub for south-eastern Europe (it catered to 5.3 million passengers in 2017) and to drive its development.
Altitude provided traffic forecast support to VINCI Airports throughout the transaction process. Our role included developing detailed short term and long term traffic forecasts and participating in site visits.
