On 30th September 2019, Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (“MIRA”) announced the acquisition of Farnborough Airport from a consortium of private investors. Farnborough Airport is one of Europe’s largest business aviation airports, and the only dedicated business aviation airport in the UK, handling more than 30,000 air traffic movements each year.
Altitude provided commercial due diligence support to MIRA on this transaction. As part of our scope, we developed traffic forecasts and detailed business plan projections. Our role also included market analysis, competitor assessment, financial benchmarking and identifying upside opportunities and downside risks.
